Our Recent Projects

Here is just a sampling of some of our recent projects.

Saliba Medical Center

Saliba Medical CenterThe existing medical office across the street from Beebe Hospital. The re-development of the property with larger building square footage necessitated compliance with current stormwater management regulations. The urban setting of the project made conventional basin design economically infeasible. A combination of Best Management Practices, including rock gardens, stone permeable pavers, trench drains, underground storage and infiltration systems were used to allow for the maximum development potential of the site while meeting the current regulatory requirements.

Dagsboro Woods Subdivision

Dagsboro WoodsThe Dagsboro Woods Subdivision was one of the first cluster subdivisions designed, approved and constructed in Sussex County. The use of the cluster allowed for the preservation of much of the existing forest on the subject property. The site had significant challenges to be overcome regarding stormwater management design and approval. The site has no well-defined outfall, and the water table was not at sufficient depth to allow for infiltration under the Delaware Sediment and Stormwater Regulations. Axiom successfully negotiated a variance with the Sussex Conservation District from the requirements of the regulations that included a contingency plan in the event of system failure. To date the additional contingent stormwater management facility has not had to be constructed.

New Covenant Presbyterian Church

New Covenant ChurchConstruction of the New Covenant Presbyterian Church near Lewes is on-going. The Sediment Basin is to be converted to a dry entended detention basin upon site stabilization. The deep water table and on-site outfall made this site ideal for this Best Management Practice.

Georgetown Hunt Subdivision

Georgetown HuntGeorgetown Hunt Subdivision is an 80 lot subdivision located in the corporate limits of the Town of Georgetown. This project includes residential subdivision road design, stormwater management and sanitary sewer. The approval process of the project is ongoing with the Town of Georgetown and other review agencies.

Johnsonville Subdivision

Dagsboro Woods Johnsonville is a 38 lot cluster subdivision in a rural landscape outside Millsboro, Delaware. Each lot is supported by an on-site septic system and well located on 1/2 acre lots. Use of the cluster option allowed for the preservation of the majority of the site's wooded areas.
